Alireta introduces courtesy domain name renewal
A domain name is a core part of doing business online, because it is the unique identifier for your internet presence. If you lose your domain name, you are basically starting all over again.
Our core team members have been in the webhosting business since 2003, and have seen individuals and businesses lose their domain names through negligence. The domain expires and is moved into Redemption, they find the high Redemption fees a tough pill to swallow, and so walk away.
Because we are always looking out for our clients' interests, we have come up with a value-added service such that your domain name will be renewed by us in good faith just before expiry if you are unable to pay the renewal fee at that time. That way, we eliminate the risk of you losing your domain name to cyber squatters.
To take advantage of this, simply send an email to us to request for Courtesy Domain Name Renewal for the domain name that is due.
Cost & Terms
Of course, this new service comes with its expenses, as we have to tie down funds on your behalf. To cover our costs, any domain name renewed by us in good faith will attract a renewal fee higher than the standard annual domain renewal fee.
Domain names renewed in good faith will attract the sum of N5, 000 for that year, instead of N2,500. The customer shall be expected to settle this fee within 1 month of renewal, failing which Alireta shall take possession of the domain name and may dispose of it in anyway it pleases, including by auctioning.
